RSD Staff Named Regional Classified School Employee & Teacher Of The Year

We have not one but two regional school staff of the year!

Holly Hernandez, kitchen manager at Chief Joseph Middle School, and Linda Johnson, lead ECEAP teacher at the Early Learning Center, are your ESD 123 Regional Classified School Employee and Teacher of the Year respectively.

Both were nominated by district leaders for the awards due to the exceptional work Mrs. Hernandez and Mrs. Johnson do in our schools, from working to ensure children have access to meals to engaging and inspiring our youngest learners, as well as supporting their fellow staff. Their talents and dedication shone only brighter as they helped students, families and staff navigate a challenging year created by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We know we have outstanding staff in our district and these awards show just how high the bar is set by those working in our schools,” said Superintendent Dr. Shelley Redinger.

Mrs. Hernandez and Mrs. Johnson will now compete for their respective state-level awards and be invited to participate in leadership retreats in September.
